Soil Science and Nutrition Management: Understanding different soil types, soil testing, the role of organic matter and fertilizers, and managing macro and micronutrients for various plants.
Garden Design and Landscaping: Principles of designing outdoor spaces, including the planning and layout of lawns, flower beds, pathways, hedges, and ornamental features like fountains and rock gardens.
Plant Care and Maintenance: Proper watering and irrigation methods (drip, sprinkler), pruning and trimming techniques for trees, shrubs, and hedges, and general garden upkeep.
Pest and Disease Management: Identification of common garden pests and diseases, and the use of organic, chemical, and integrated pest management (IPM) methods.
Cultivation of Specific Plants: Techniques for growing ornamental plants, fruits, vegetables, and medicinal/aromatic plants.
